Lifting Slings in Pakistan: CITEX Polyester Webbing Slings (1–20 Ton)
Polyester webbing slings, also called lifting belts, flat slings or crane belts, are colour-coded straps rated from 1 to 20 ton. They lift machinery, pipes, steel sections and fabricated parts without scratching or denting the surface, which is why they are common in factories, workshops, warehouses and fabrication yards.
This range covers CITEX slings from 1 ton to 20 ton. Each sling carries a colour-coded label showing its capacity, so you can check the rating before every lift. Choose your capacity below, then pick a length on the product page to see the price for that length.
What Are Polyester Webbing Slings Used For?
- Lifting machinery, pipes, steel sections and fabricated parts without scratching or denting them
- Rigging in factories, workshops, warehouses and fabrication yards
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers
- Installation and construction jobs where finished or painted surfaces need to stay intact
Which CITEX Sling Capacity Do You Need?
The colour of the sling shows its straight-lift capacity (WLL) under the common EN 1492 colour code. Always confirm the rating on the tag. Colour alone is not proof of capacity.
| Capacity | Colour | Typical use (indicative) |
| 1 ton | Violet | Light workshop and maintenance lifts |
| 2 ton | Green | Small machinery, motors, pallets |
| 3 ton | Yellow | General workshop and site lifting |
| 4 ton | Grey | Medium equipment |
| 5 ton | Red | Heavier components and machine parts |
| 6 ton | Brown | Large fabrications |
| 8 ton | Blue | Heavy equipment |
| 10 ton | Orange | Industrial heavy lifts |
| 12 ton | Orange | Large structural lifts |
| 15 ton | Orange | Heavy plant and structures |
| 20 ton | Orange | Heavy industrial and project lifting |
Webbing Sling Price in Pakistan
The price of a CITEX webbing sling depends on two things: its capacity and its length. A 5 ton sling costs more than a 2 ton sling, and a longer sling costs more than a shorter one of the same rating. Open any product above to see the current price in PKR for each length.

How to Choose the Right Webbing Sling
- Weigh the load, including any attached rigging.
- Decide on the hitch (straight, choker or basket) and apply its factor.
- Choose a WLL above the result. Never lift at the limit.
- Pick a length that suits your lifting geometry and sling angle.
- Check the tag. It must be legible and show the capacity and manufacturer.
- Use sleeves or corner protectors wherever the sling bears on a sharp edge.
Webbing, Wire Rope or Chain: Which Sling Is Better?
| Feature | Flat webbing sling | Wire rope sling | Chain sling |
| Surface protection | Excellent | Poor | Poor |
| Weight | Light | Heavy | Heavy |
| Abrasion resistance | Low | High | High |
| Heat tolerance | Low | Medium to high | High |
| Best for | Finished surfaces, workshops, general rigging | Rough or abrasive loads | High heat and heavy wear |
Choose webbing when the load surface matters and the environment is clean. Choose wire rope or chain for sharp, hot or abrasive conditions.
When Should You Discard a Webbing Sling?
Take a sling out of service straight away if you find any of these:
- Cuts, tears or snags in the webbing
- Melted, burnt or hardened areas from heat or friction
- Broken or worn stitching
- Chemical damage, such as stiffness or discolouration
- A missing or unreadable capacity tag
- Knots or distortion in the body or the eyes
Inspect the sling before every use. Have a competent person examine slings periodically, with intervals set by your site rules and the standards that apply to you.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the price of a webbing sling (lifting belt) in Pakistan?
The price depends mainly on rated capacity and length, so there is no single price. A 1 ton sling costs a small fraction of a 20 ton sling, and a longer sling costs more than a shorter one of the same rating. Open any product above to see the current price in PKR for each length. For bulk orders, call or WhatsApp IMSONS for a quote.
Are lifting belts, flat slings and crane belts the same as webbing slings?
Yes. In Pakistan these names are all used for the same flat polyester strap with a sewn eye at each end. A round sling is a different product: an endless loop inside a protective cover.
What length of sling do I need?
Work from your lifting geometry. Nominal length is normally the effective working length, measured eye to eye. Allow enough length to keep the sling angle moderate, because a steeper angle puts more load on each leg. If you are between two sizes, the longer one usually gives more room to rig safely.
Which is better, a polyester or a nylon sling?
Polyester stretches less under load and resists acids and UV better than nylon. Nylon copes better with alkalis. Both lose strength with heat and both can be cut by sharp edges, so check the chemicals and conditions on your site before choosing.
Can I use a webbing sling on sharp edges?
Not unprotected. Use sleeves or corner protectors, or switch to a chain or wire rope sling for sharp or abrasive loads.
What is the difference between WLL and SWL?
WLL (Working Load Limit) is the current term for the maximum load an item may carry in service. SWL (Safe Working Load) is the older term for the same idea.
